In general, ocean-view cabins on Norwegian ships are bigger than inside cabins but not quite as big as balcony cabins (when comparing their interior space). However, you sometimes can find ocean-view cabins that are significantly bigger than what is typical for a balcony cabin.

Right at the top of the ship, you’ll find a Go-Kart track called the speedway. They have a wonderful American diner, and you can eat there at no extra charge at all. On deck 17 you’ll find a speciality restaurant which is styled as an American diner. It’s quite small compared to other ships of her size because there is a Go-Kart track/Laser Tag course at the back and the Haven (a premium area) at the front of the ship. This is one of my favourite places on the ship to grab a drink and sit down in a comfy seat while watching the world go by. Drinks will be charged to your cruise card and added to your onboard account.
There is a pool — in fact there are two — but both are small and not central like you’ll typically find. More than half a dozen bars and lounges on Norwegian Prima will include the cozy and classy Belvedere Bar, a contemporary cocktail lounge serving crafted cocktails that is a new concept for Norwegian. Also new will be the Metropolitan, which is being billed as a sustainable bar as it'll feature "responsibly crafted" zero-waste cocktails prepared with surplus ingredients. It'll also offer a menu of "sustainable spirits" and biodynamic wines made using organic methods. Another major option for eating on Norwegian Prima will be Indulge Food Hall, the first food hall ever on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship.

The typical balcony cabin on Norwegian Encore is 175 square feet, not including a 30- to 110-square-foot balcony. On Norwegian's 4-year-old Norwegian Encore, for instance, 19% of the 2,040 cabins are suites — a huge percentage for a large, mass-market cruise ship. On Royal Caribbean's 4-year-old Symphony of the Seas, which launched at almost the same time as Norwegian Encore, by contrast, just 7% of cabins are suites. On Carnival Cruise Line's 4-year-old Carnival Panorama, just 3% of cabins are suites.
